Andrew Prentis - Veterinary Surgeon

Andrew Prentis BVSc MRCVS, veterinary surgeon

Andrew has been a veterinary surgeon since 1981. He set up the Hyde Park Veterinary Centre in 1998. Before that he had worked in private practice in London and Kent, for the RSPCA , overseas in north Africa and more recently teaching at the Royal Veterinary College. He has always has a strong interest in complementary medicine and continues to teach at the British College of Osteopathic Medicine.

Odile Sicouri - Veterinary Surgeon

Odile Sicouri BSc BVMS MRCVS, veterinary surgeon

Odile qualified in Perth Australia in 1993. She has worked in private practice in Australia and the UK, as well as numerous animal and wildlife projects in Australia, Indonesia and India. At Murdoch University she was a Registrar in Small Animal Emergency Medicine and Critical Care,  taught Animal Ethics & Welfare and worked with endangered Australian marsupials. Since coming to the UK in 2004 she has worked at several veterinary emergency clinics and has been at Hyde Park since 2005.

Both Andrew and Odile are happy to consult in French.

Nadine Hobson DO, osteopath

Nadine has been practicing structural and cranial osteopathy for 30 years and is well known for her exceptional skill in relieving postural strain and sports injuries. She treats men, women and children for a vast range of problems and has been treating animals regularly since 1989. She teaches animal osteopathy at the British College of Osteopathic Medicine and at the Centre of Professional Development in Osteopathy. She is a key member of the Society of Osteopaths in Animal Practice (SOAP) and has been at the Hyde Park Veterinary Centre since its inception in 1998.

Lise Hansen DVM  MRCVS CertIAVH, veterinary surgeon, homeopath and acupuncturist

Lise has been a veterinary surgeon for 17 years. After a few years in conventional practice she undertook further training in classical homeopathy through The Homeopathic Physicians Training Group, qualifying in 1999 and later followed a two year postgraduate homeopathic  course with the eminent homeopath Jeremy Sherr. Lise has also undertaken training in veterinary acupuncture. Lise thinks any animal with an ongoing or recurring problem is likely to benefit from holistic treatment. She gets particularly excited about treating dogs and cats with allergies.

Dr Alexia Cox, MRCVS veterinary surgeon

Alexia qualified as a veterinary surgeon from l' Ecole Veterinaire de Lyon, France in 1994. She worked in mixed practice for 2 years before heading to Australia where she gained the Australian qualifications for overseas veterinarians and she worked for a small animal practice in Sydney for 2 years. She came to London in 2000 and has worked in a number of clinics including Holland Park, Hampstead, Hyde Park, Putney and Barnes. Her special interests include internal medicine, dermatology and surgery.

Leah Morley - Practice Manager

Leah Morley, veterinary nurse & practice manager

Leah first started working with animals at the tender age of 12. After work experience at  her local vets looking after zoo animals and the local RSPCA, she started her veterinary nurse training in Melbourne in 1998. She became a fully qualified nurse in 2000. She decided to move to the UK in 2002 and has been at  Hyde Park since then. She also has a background in IT and fixes everything. And plays very competitive rugby.

Annie MacKinnon - Head Veterinary Nurse

Anne MacKinnon, head veterinary nurse

Annie first started working with animals in1999, and began her veterinary nursing career in Queensland, Australia in 2002. In addition to her clinical nursing, she has also spent time looking after neglected and abused animals and endangered wildlife at a Queensland animal shelter. She came to the UK in 2009 to help train veterinary students in clinical techniques at the Royal Veterinary College's Beaumont Animal Hospital in Camden. After taking time off to travel and help at an animal shelter in Pokhara in Nepal, she started at Hyde Park in early 2011.

Fiona Warn - Veterinary Nurse

Fiona Warn, registered veterinary nurse

Fiona is the most recent member to our nursing team. All the way from the Isle of Lewis, Fiona has nursed in Scotland, Newcastle and Australia. We're hoping to show her the London way of life.

Melissa Rigby, nursing assistant

Mel is another recent arrival from...yes Australia. She has an honours degree in Animal and Veterinary Bioscience from the University of Sydney and has been working in veterinary clinics since 2006. She also brings wide experience of working with animals and in healthcare in other environments, from alpacas to research into stress in kangaroos, on farms, with wildlife, in zoos, in a pharmacy and at boarding kennels.

Tammy Wilkinson

Tammy Wilkinson, nursing and reception assistant

Tammy spent many years in customer care mainly in the restaurant industry before she finally saw the light and started working full time with animals in 2008. She works part time at Hyde Park whilst continuing to help care for many of the animals at the Mayhew Animal Home in Kensal Green

Lynne Pinto - Head Receptionist

Lynne Pinto, receptionist

Lynne started at the practice in September 2011. She has had a varied career in the charity world, television and teaching as well as having a life coaching qualification. Her experience in organising and training 600+ telephone volunteers, as well as teaching adults, has given her invaluable customer care skills which make her the perfect first point of contact at the practice. She appreciates how important pets are to their owners and has a dog (Tina) herself.

Janine Taylor, pet boutique manager

Janine started working with the Hyde Park Veterinary Centre in November 2011 when the pet boutique officially opened alongside the clinical work carried out. She has a wealth of knowledge when it comes to all things pet accessory and can help you select and fit the correct product for your pet.

Susannah Wheeler - Dog Nanny

Susannah Wheeler, the one and only Belgravia Dog Nanny

Susannah became a full time “Dog Nanny” in 2007 after a varied career that spanned reinsurance broking in Lloyd’s of London to heading up ITV’s live fundraising campaigns including ITV’s Telethon and GMTV’s Get Up & Give Appeal. She has helped to generate £60 million for UK charities. She left television in 2001 and opened a Life Coaching practice working with private and corporate clients. She was introduced to the joys of dog care through an established pet care agency in 2007 and has boarded small dogs at home  since then. In 2010 she branched out on her own by opening a day creche which has now relocated to the Hyde Park Veterinary Centre.

 Jessica Smith - Dog Groomer

Jessica Smith, dog groomer

Jessica was trained in Dallas Texas by Petsmart and worked there dog grooming between 1994 and 2002. In 2002 Jessica moved to the UK started, in 2003 she started working at the Hyde Park Veterinary Centre. Jessica has studied grooming techniques and salons all over the world from Brazil to Japan and loves doing all breeds in all different styles.

Jon Lynes_Handyman

Jon Lynes, maintenance manager and IT guru

Jon started working with us in 2008, fresh from the floors of HMV Jon is the resident knowledge of movie quotes. He took a small hiatus to sun himself in Thailand at the beginning of 2010, and rejoined us at the end of the year. When not up a ladder, fitting light bulbs and painting walls, Jon can be found gritting his teeth over the clinic's broadband service.
