Andrew Prentis BVSc MRCVS
Leading the team as Clinical Director, Andrew provides the majority of the daily medical and surgical care at the clinic. Qualifying in 1981 from the Bristol veterinary school, Andrew has been Hospital Director for the RSPCA South London Hospital group, Technical Director of an animal welfare charity in North Africa and more recently Director of the London teaching hospital of The Royal Veterinary College. He has a special interest in Integrated Medicine, combining the latest developments in modern medicine with complementary medical disciplines such as homoeopathy, acupuncture, osteopathy, herbal medicine and nutrition.

Nick Thompson BVM&S Vet MFHom MRCVS
Homoeopathy, acupuncture and nutrition;
One of the few vets in the UK with a formal qualification in Homoeopathy, Nick sees referral and second opinion cases in homoeopathy, acupuncture and nutrition as well as advising on the holisitic management of the daily caseload at the centre. He qualified as a vet in 1992 at The Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies in Edinburgh, and for many years now has been working in the field of complementary and alternative veterinary medicine, mainly for dogs, cats and horses. Selection of the precise remedy according to the exact symptom picture of the individual, is a time-consuming process, but as Nick says "The remedy is in the detail". Nick is now available at The Hyde Park Veterinary Centre for first and second opinion consultations in homoeopathy, acupuncture and nutrition.

Odile Sicouri MRCVS, veterinary surgeon
Odile has been working as a veterinary surgeon since qualifying in Australia in 1993. Her special interest is Small Animal Medicine. She has spent much of the last few years specialising in night Emergency work at several central London 24-hour centres, so any of your pet's crises will be in excellent hands with her. She came to the UK in 2004 having completed most of a Masters degree in the reproductive biology of an endangered Australian marsupial (should anyone be interested, she says). She loves creative writing and likes dressing up to speak to her friends in Oz on Skype. She's also quite happy to consult in French.

Nadine Hobson DO, Osteopath
Working as an osteopath for 30 years, Nadine has a great deal of experience. Highly regarded within her profession, she spends most of her working week treating human patients at her clinics in the West End and in Surrey, and has been treating animals regularly since 1989. She uses the gentle manipulative techniques of osteopathy and cranio-sacral therapy to treat a wide range of cases, and as she says "My patients love it. Even the nervous ones, once they realise I'm not going to hurt them, relax and let me treat."
In keeping with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons guidelines, she only treats animals after veterinary examination and diagnosis, and always under full veterinary supervision. Until recently a purist Labrador obssessive (Luna and Moose de Beauvoir...), she has recently been offered a loving home by Pepys the Springer Spaniel.

Dr Alexia Cox MRCVS, veterinary surgeon
Alexia joined the veterinary team in early 2005. Qualifying as a vet in Lyon, France in 1994, she has worked as a vet in France, England and Australia and has further academic qualifications from New York, USA. She has been living in London for the last 5 years and has during that time worked at a number of prestigious London veterinary clinics. She brings with her a wealth of clinical experience and expertise.

Leah Morley, Senior Veterinary Nurse
Leah is a very experienced veterinary nurse who is now in charge of much of the daily running of the clinic, including all computer and IT issues. She also has the onerous task of keeping Andrew and the other vets organised, a task no one envies her. She joined the practice in October 2002, and again in September 2003 after a break for the traditional antipodean 'travel in Europe'. She qualified in veterinary nursing in Melbourne, Australia, and has wide experience of veterinary practice in both countries. She also plays very competitive rugby, which is a great worry to all of us...

Tina Leake, Head Veterinary Nurse
Tina has been veterinary nursing for 17 years. She is in charge of all clinical aspects of patient care at the clinic. She has very wide experience of the veterinary profession having worked in private practice, the RSPCA, a 24-hour emergency clinic in Australia, second opinion and referral practices including the Royal Veterinary College hospital at Potters Bar and as a practice manager in a group practice. She is a qualified A1 assessor for training veterinary nurses. She has a special interest in canine and feline behaviour & communication and has taken a wild animal conservation course in South Africa.

Kate Doran, veterinary nurse
Kate has been veterinary nursing for 5 years. She qualified in 2006, having completed her training at the world famous Dog’s Home in Battersea, and joined the clinic later that year after a short spell at another central London clinic. Her particular interest is in nutrition.

Jessica Smith, groomer
All the way from Dallas, Texas, Jessica is our new Dog Groomer. Qualified in 1997 at the Petsmart Grooming School in Dallas, she is now at the practice every week, helping London's pooches look their very best.... We now offer a weekday appointment system so there's much less waiting all round.
